Studio Snapshot
Not So Rando combines two decades of visual design experience and more than ten years of work in trial demonstrative design and litigation support. We specialize in complex litigation and financial crimes such as fraud, conspiracy, money laundering and more. We have helped win some of the most high profile cases brought by IRS: Criminal Investigation and the DoJ Tax division including drug cartel money laundering conspiracies and several hundred million dollar intellectual property Medicare fraud schemes. We also provided graphics for the largest fuel tax fraud case in U.S. History, a $1 billion biodiesel fraud scheme.
We provide support from the investigation phase through jury trial, helping frame complex evidence into compelling, comprehensible narratives. The work blends design discipline with courtroom pragmatism, translating dense data, technical concepts, and expert analyses into visuals that make sense on the first look.

Values behind our work
Clarity over ornament
We believe visuals should make information easier to understand, not more impressive to look at. Every element must earn its place by improving comprehension.
Accuracy is the baseline
Accurately presenting the facts of the case is paramount; visuals must be precise, defensible, and grounded in the record before they can be persuasive.
As little as necessary
Effective design requires knowing when to stop, leaving space where it matters, and prioritizing credibility over spectacle so visuals support the message while reducing cognitive load on the audience.
Respect for the advocate
We design visuals to support and reinforce advocacy, not replace it. Legal judgment and the argument always lead, design follows to add clarity and comprehension.
